Well
Jeff say hello. This will be our first post on our new blog. So much
to say and this was not even how I planned this to start, but the NFL
decided to take over once again.
Today
has been completely nuts. I took the kids to lunch and thirty minutes
later, like 4 trades happened.
Jimmy
Graham got traded for pretty much nothing. Chip Kelly traded for the
bust of Sam Bradford in exchange for Foles. Shady McCoy signed his
extension with Buffalo after being shipped out by Kelly. Ngata got
traded to the Lions to replace Suh, who still hasn’t signed his
monster deal yet. Patrick Willis unexpectedly retired along with
Justin Smith and Jake Locker. Hundreds of millions have already been
spent in the first eight hours of free agency. Not to mention we both
nearly texted each other at the same time in amazement that Jason
Worilds is retiring too!
So
many players signed for such crazy money today. Everyone needs to
remember though when the deal come back to bite these teams in the
ass, THE TEAMS OFFERED THE MONEY UP. Blame the front office, not the
players. But I know I am forgetting one thing...
Oh
yeah, and Revis signed his soul away to play for the Jets again. Boy
got his ring and went after the money... again. I saw a tweet by Ryan
Clark saying Sean Gilbert, Revis's uncle, hates the new CBA, but boy
Revis sure is killing it. By the way, I am not saying that Revis
shouldn't be paid what he deserves, just surprising he would choose
the Jets. Collect those checks Revis.
Crazy
day in football.
I
guess I will have to hold off on my NBA draft talk, NFL draft
shenanigans and spring training starting for just a bit.

What's
up everybody, let me start off with a disclaimer: if at any point
during any post you find yourself asking "wow is this guy really
that bitter? Does he really hate that player/team that much?"
The answer is yes… yes I do... now that we've got that out of the
way let's talk some NFL free agency.
My
free agency started this afternoon when I was in the parking lot
about to get into my car, when a truck drove by with a man sticking
his head out the window yelling the most annoying phrase imaginable
"SEEEEAAAAAA....HAAAAAAWWWWKSSSSS" I found it quite odd
until I realized free agency had just begun. So I look at my phone
and the first thing I see is "Saints agree to trade Jimmy Graham
and a 4th rounder to Seattle for Max Unger and a 1st rounder"
Suddenly the rolling douche bag made perfect sense and I realized the
day of destruction had begun.
Now
as a Falcons fan I was downright giddy at the fact that I wouldn't
have to watch Jimmy Graham destroy the Falcons porous secondary twice
each year, but as an avid Seahawks hater living in Seattle I cringed
at the thought of watching Jimmy Graham make Russell Wilson look much
better than he really is.
The
first few hours of free agency were rapid with Frank Gore spurning
the "Poor decision making Rob Lowe" Eagles for the Colts.
The Eagles made a BLOCKBUSTER power move by swapping Nick Foles
for... Sam Bradford? Possible setup for Mariota? Meanwhile we saw
Terrence Knighton who had been written off as a lock to go to Oakland
make a last second choice to turn them down when they "lowballed
him" Typical Raiders move, you finally get a top level talent
interested in you and you scare him off. While Arizona and
Indianapolis seemed to be signing every player that's ever followed
them on twitter, the Packers did what the Packers do and resigned
their own players (why mess with a winning formula, right?)
Day
1 of free agency was definitely filled with plenty of surprises, here
is to hoping day 2 is just as exciting.

NFL
Draft speculation! Washington is interested in Mariota! Don’t know
when that came about, but is this the end for Robert Griffin III in
Washington? Crazy. Could be that Washington is trying to recoup some
of those assets they traded away for RG3 a few years ago. Then again,
that would be saying that Washington is smart.
Well
I was trying to start off nice, but sense Jeff threw it out there…
we both love to go off on rants. If anyone doesn’t like what we
have to say, we don’t care. These are our opinions. Most “fans”
out there seem to be morons anyways. We will though some numbers,
scouting and analysis at you guys and if you still don’t like it
then that’s up to you. I’ll likely in the near future go off
about how stupid most fans are (probably will happen in many posts),
but I will save that for later.
Hey
Jeff, maybe I should have named this Raging Rants instead. Nah, that
would be too easy. Don’t want to be too ridiculous like EDP on
YouTube.
Now
let’s spread the word and try to get this thing going!
